This concern was brought about in the following way: 1. Mrs. DeCora called my office July 3, 1984 and complained that Treat's Pools, of Avery Lane, Montville had incorrectly installed a new pool liner very recently and now refused to correct the problem. 2. She further stated that the circular metal sides had "slipped" from the base holding ring. 3. I called "Ronnie", of Treat's Pools and asked him what he intended to do about the problem. 4. He replied that be had sent out James Dutrumble and his partner Mr. Crowe (at two different times) and they had re- ported no problem existed. 5. Based on this I called the Civil Defense Director, Mr. Edward Bragdon, tel. 848-1175, and asked him to investigate. 6. He reported that the people who went out to the site re- ported a bulge in the side of the pool and that the sides were "out of the holding ring at the base." Page 1 of 2 (2) Y 7. Because of the above circumstances I had no alternative but to relieve the neighborhood of any danger of this size pool bursting from the side wall and threatening life and property.
