It is my decision to deny this modification, without prejudice, that proposes a clear height of 6 feet, 2 inches under ductwork within an existing basement being converted to habitable space. This decision is based on the fact that the height is too low and a hazard to the occupants. t Pursuant to Subsection (b) of Section 29-254, of the Connecticut General Statutes, any person aggrieved by this decision may appeal to the State Codes and Standards Committee within 14 days after mailing of this decision. The appeal process may be implemented by written notice of intent to appeal mailed to the State Codes and Standards Committee at the address below.
