Work of this nature must be completed in accordance with the Eversource Cut and Reconnect Policy. In addition, per CT General Statutes, your town requires an electrical permit to be issued and that the electrical work is inspected and approved by a Local Code Enforcement Official. We have yet to receive any notification of an inspection approval from the Local Code Enforcement official. • Please contact your Local Code Enforcement Official to schedule an inspection. To date, Eversource has not received an inspection approval from the local Building official. This inspection and approval is critical to ensure that the work has been completed in accordance with the State and Company regulations and more importantly, that it does not present any safety hazards. Both the homeowner and the responsible party that acquired the electrical work permit must take the necessary actions to contact the Building official, within 10 calendar days from the date of this letter, in order to resolve this situation. The following actions will be taken in accordance with the Eversource Cut & Reconnect Policy. 1. Eversource will install a new electrical meter at the above referenced location, no sooner than 10 days from the date of this letter. • The installation of a meter does not supersede the requirements of an inspection approval by Local Code Enforcement Official. 2. If an unsafe condition is discovered, the Local Code Enforcement Officials may elect to direct Eversource in writing to disconnect the electric service to the above referenced location.
