It is our understanding you are seeking permission to resurface the existing roof on your home. Jensen's will provide future permission with the provision that the roof is securely anchored to your home and all plumbing vents and the furnace flue are properly extended through the roof addition. Asphalt, fiberglass shingles or interlocking ribbed aluminum panels only may be used on the roofs surface. All exposed wood on the ends and sides must be covered with prefinished aluminum or vinyl siding only, and the old roofing materials must be disposed of properly. Preliminary, tentative approval for this project is extended, and you may proceed with the obtaining of any and all building permits required by the local governing body. As per the Lease Agreement, Jensen's final approval depends on the proposed construction's conforming to "applicable building codes and regulations." A copy (copies) of the permit(s) issued to you must therefore be submitted to the corporate office prior to commencing the work. All construction shall commence within 90 days from the date of our authorization letter and shall be completed within 30 days of such commencement. The project must be completed in a neat, craftsmanlike manner. When a roof is being added, we suggest written verification be obtained from a qualified contractor that the home is level and set properly on level piers.
