He indicated that the water was starting to erode a portion of his lawn area. He indicated that there was a trench that went along the side of his property line, next to his garage, and that recently there had been a tremendous increase in flow. He thought the increase may be coming from the work that was being done at a neighbor’s house at 19 Cottonwood Lane. The Town Engineer, Public Works Director, and Staff went out to the site to determine the cause of the excessive runoff. It did not appear as though the neighbor at 19 Cottonwood was the issue. However, there was an illegal drain pipe coming out of a recently built retaining wall that drained onto the Town Road. The Public Works Director and the Town Engineer had to return to the Town Hall for a meeting so they did not investigate the site. Staff talked to the mother of the property owner , Mr. David Dahm, and indicated the problem with the drainage from the wall. Staff walked the property and it did not appear as if there was any extra work being done that would cause the problem at 27 Cottonwood.
