As a result of this plan review the only items missing in the proposed plan are fire extinguishers. Also the existing building should be upgraded to meet Chapter 25 existing mercantile of the Connecticut Fire Safety Code 1999. { Section 25-2.9 requires emergency lighting in existing mercantile. Section 25-2.10 requires illuminated exit signs in existing mercantile. As long as the existing building is brought up to code this Office would have no problems approving the new addition. If you should have any questions, please feel free to contact the undersigned at the Montville Fire Marshal's Office. ;cerel our s { and T. Occhialini Montville Fire Marshal Cc: File Treat's Pools and Spa's Energy Compliance Statement Treat's Pools Addition Friday, July 21, 2000 This document is to certify that the proposed design of the warehouse addition to Treat's Pools in Montville, Connecticut is in compliance with the Energy Code. Please note that the owner has elected not to heat this building. This is acceptable under the Energy Code, however the walls and slab of the building will be uninsulated. Heating this building without providing the approved insulation and another energy audit would constitute a Code violation. We recommend insulating the slab perimeter during construction to permit future heating if necessary. Wall insulation and additional roof insulation could be added in the future.
