Yes No CZC Approved ☐ ☐ Comments/Observations Resolution Date: Click here to enter a date. Conducted site inspection following the NOAV forwarded to property owners on 10/30/2025. Site inspection showed that the free range chickens are now confined to a coop with a run completely enclosed to prevent them from being free range. This inspection proved that there are other violations on the property, in that there are several other animals being housed on the property which would only be allowed if the property was large enough to be considered a farm (more than 5 acres). Property owner is aware of the new violation and the fact that a NOV will be prepared and mailed. He indicated in our visit that he will be speaking with an attorney for guidance because he feels that this property should be considered a farm due to its size, outbuildings present when he purchased it and the fenced in yard. Presently there are the following animals: • 30+ chickens • 4+ roosters • 6+/- ducks • 1 rabbit • 2 potbelly pigs • 3 goats • 4 sheep Town of Montville Inspection Report Town of Montville Inspection Report Chickens have been contained to a completely fenced in area however there are more than 12 chickens, as allowed by the Montville Zoning Regulations Section 4.11.8. No Zoning Permit has been applied for, as required by Section 4.11.8.1. There are 4+ roosters mixed in with other chickens, a violation of Section 4.11.8.6 of the Montville Zoning Regulations. Pot belly pigs are not allowed per Montville Zoning Regulations Section 1.3 Definitions: Farm Animals.
