HomeMy WebLinkAbout24SITE10 - App Response to FM Comments 12-05-2024From the Fire Marshal’s office. The Following items need to be addressed (Responses are shown in italics below): 1. Where is the main Gas shut off to the Generator by the street ? The main gas shut off to the generator by the street will be coordinated with the provider to be sure a shut off valve will be located by the street. This has been specified in a call out note on Sheet C-3 Utility Plan. 2. The EV stations to be moved away from the building and surrounding areas of the building and suggest moving them to the island at the front of the building opposite the visitor parking in the northeast area of the p lot. The EV stations have been relocated to the island opposite the visitor parking spaces in the northeast area of the parking lot. Please see the plan set for details. 3. If number two is completed the fire hydrant to be moved to the northeast corner of the building The fire hydrant has been relocated to the northeast corner of the building. Please see the plan set for details. The following note was added to the fire hydrants: Snow removal maintenance crew will clean out hydrant during storm events as needed (typ.) 4. All four of the islands at the corners of the building to be cut back to give more room for Ladder truck Turning radius. All Side Entrance sidewalk to slant down to pavement for easy stretcher access All sidewalks will meet ADA requirements and be sloped towards the pavement. 6. Trees to be moved away from hydrant locations to prevent issues in the future due to growth Two Honeylocusts along the rear of the building, adjacent to proposed fire hydrants, have been removed from the plan. 7. Tree near gas line by the street needs to be removed of moved further away One Red Maple has been shifted north away from the proposed gas line as requested. 8. Front entrance light impeding front door and need to be clear to continue egress The light in question is a canopy light that will be mounted overhead. There are no lights located on the sidewalk in front of the doors that would hinder access to the building. These lights have been removed from the plans for clarity. 9. Trees around building to be suggested to move to keep 360 degrees clearance for ladder truck The four shade trees on the west side of the building have been replaced with lower/smaller habit, ornamental trees in order to allow clearance for a ladder truck.
