The plan has solution to handle the water run off beyond the paving. Maintenance of those are could be a problem in the future. Good evening John, I think it is mostly an issue of setting a precedent since the section that is requested to be waivedstates that “In any case the common driveway shall be paved to the high point for ascending driveways and a minimum of 25 feet from the intersection with the Town Road for descendingdriveways”. Although not the Town’s maintenance responsibility, the driveway is a 10% slope to about STA7+00. I can’t find a limit to the maximum slope for unpaved driveways in the Montville regulationsbut that is right at the limit between pavement and gravel for many towns in the area due to erosionconcerns with steeper driveways.
