Good morning Stacy:
I don’t have time to address all of the remaining comments before the meeting tonight. But I wanted to address the
one that I think is the most critical regarding the culvert sizing. The engineer claims that he estimates the drainage
area to b 18-20 acres, but the largest possible drainage area I can find is about 9 acres. That said, I’m not convinced
that all of that 9 acres goes through the culverts, because I believe that in reality some of the pond at the northern
side (off property) actually flows northeast through one of the other wetland systems on the subject
site. Regardless, in an effort to move this project along and gain concurrence from the engineer, I’ve revised the
drainage area to what I believe is the largest potential area that goes through the culverts and the culvert sizing
calculations. As you can see, the culvert crossing functions far more than adequately. And just ford good measure,
I did calculations for a 20 acre drainage area, and it still functions adequately.
The other three comments are very minor and can be addressed quickly, unfortunately, I just can’t do them today
before the meeting. I hope this does not delay gaining approval.
