Proposed 5ubdivislon will allow for the creation of 3 building lots ranging in size from 23,241 s.f. to 30+084 s.f. Each will be serviced by on site Municipal water t Municipal sewer. Total area to be disturbed = 1.2 t acres s i 3Otry- ILS4 The proposed site Is composed mainly of two soil types, . Charlton - Hollis- "CrC" 8 "CrD" 1. "CrV Fine sandy looms, vary rocky, with 3 to 15 percent slopes'. These gently sloping to sloping complex consists of somewhat excessively drained and well drained soils, on glacial till 4 upland landforms. 2 'CrD" Fine sandy looms, very rocky, with 15 to 45 percent slopes. These moderately steep to steep complex consists of someti hot excessively drained and well drained soils, on glacial till 4 upland fandform>>1. t Construction will begin with clearing, grubbing and rough rading of the proposed sites. Following rough grading procedures, alldrggainage and utility structures and the associated piping will be installed and protected with hay bales or slit fence. Theses protective measures are to remain In place and properly maintained throughout constrvctlon. All work must be completed within 5 years, as required by the Connecticyt General Statutes. Each site will be graded so that ail possible trees on site will be saved to provide buffers to adjoining lots. Topsoil will be stockplled on site and utilized during final grading. A non -tracking construction entrance Is to be provided a? each driveway. C iI'r1.OR-Wr CONTROL PLMs ! Development of the site will be performed by The Owner. He will be responsible for the Installation and maintenance of erosion and sediment control measures required throughout construction. The sedimentation control mechanisms shall remain in place from the start of construction until permanent vegetation has been established. The representative for the Town of Montville will be notified when the sediment and erosion control structures are initially in place. Once the proposed development, seeding and planting have been completed, the representative shall be notified to inspect the site. These control measures w111 not be removed until this inspection Is complete. All stripping is to be confined to the immedlate construction area. Topsoil shall be stockpiled so that slopes do not exceed 2 to 1. A hay bale sediment barrier is to surround each stockpile and a temporary vegetative cover provided. Dust control will be accomplished by spraying with water and if wic.essa, , the appiicdtlon of calcium chloride. The proposed planting schedule is to be adhered to during the planting of distwbod areas throughout the proposed eonstrvertion site. Final st4bilization of the alto is to follow the procedures outlined In permanent vegetotiva cover. If necessary a temporary vegetative cover Is to be provided Lentil o permanent cover can be applied. EACH BALEEACH I OAi.D 1. Oig a b" trench on the uphill sido of the barrier location. 2. Position the posts on the downhill side of the barrier and drive the post 1.5 feet Into the grovncl. 3. Lay the bottom b" of the fobrlc in the trench to prevent undermining and backfill. 4. Inspect and repair barrier after heavy rainfall. 5. Sediment deposits are to be removad when they reach a height of one foot behind the barrier and are to be depositeeLjIn on area which is not regulated by the inland Wotiands Commission., < b. Inspections and necessary repairs will be made twice weelrly. HAY SALZ IMI)TALLATION 4 MAiNTEAIANV!t 1. Bales shall be placed ar6und all proposed catch basins with the ends of the bales tightly abutting each other. 2. Each bale shall be securely anchored with at least 2 stakes and gaps between bates shall"be wedged with straw to prevent water from passing between the bales. 3. Inspect bales after each storm and repair or replace promptly as needed. Remove sediment behind the bales when It has reached half the height of the bale and deposit in an area which is not regulated by the inland Wetlands Commission. 4. Inspections and necessary repairs will be made twice weekly. TEMPORARY VESETATiVE WYMS A temporary seeding of Rye brass will be, completed within 15 days of the formation of stockpile(s). If the soil in the stockpiles has been compacted by construction operations _it shall be loosened to a depth of 2 inches before the fertilizer, lima and seed is applied. 10-10-10 fertilizer at a rate of '1.5 pounds per 1000 s.f. and lime stony at a rate of 410 lbs. per 1000 s.f. shall be used. Rye Grass applied at a rate of I Ib, per 1000 s.f. shall provide the temporary vegetative cover. Straw or hay, free from woods and coarse matter shall be used at a rate of 10-410 lbs. per 1000 s.f. as a temporary mulch. Straw or hay, free from weeds and coarse matter shall be used at a rate of 710-410 lbs. per 1000 s.f. as a temporary mulch. Apply mulch and drive tracked equipment up and doNn slope over entire surface so cleat marks are parallel to contour. PLANVT YEX36TATIVE COV Rs Topsoil will be replaced once the excavation has been completed and the shoulders are graded to a slope no grooter than 3 to I. Topsoil will be spread at a minimum compacted depth of 4 Inches. Once the topsoil has been spread, all stones two Inches or larger in any dimension will be removed as well as debris. Apply agricultural ground limestone at the rate of two tons per acre or 100 lbs. par 1000 s.f. Apply 10-10-10 fertilizer or equivalent at a rate of 300 lbs. per acre or 7.5 lbs. per 1000 91. Work lime and fertilizer into the soil to a depth of 4 inches. Inspect seedbed before seeding. If traffic has compacted the soil, retill compacted areas.
