Uncasville, CT 06382 RE: WWIS Track Facility CLA-5513Q Dear Marcia: We have reviewed the plans and drainage calculations submitted for the Wide World of Indoor Sports Indoor Go-Cart Facility proposed on Sachatello Drive. We have the following comments: 1. The treeline shown on the plans must reflect the present field conditions. 2. The radii for the several curve portions of the driveway and parking areas must be added to the plans. 3. The distance to the centerline of the proposed driveway from the southerly lot comer must be shown on the plans. 4. The guiderailing shown the plan blocks access to the drainage facilities and the existing expressed access to the northerly property. 5. Spot grades and contour lines must be shown for the proposed diversion swale. An existing "blow-out" along the northerly property line must noted to be repaired. 6. A letter from the adjoining property owner of both Lot 14 and Lot 18 allowing stockpiling and grading on their property must be provided. 7. The dimensions of the construction pad must be shown on the plans. 8. The guiderailing must be deleted from the E&S Control Plan. 9. The detention pond side bank below the outlet from the forebay must be protected. 10. The 222' contour through the forebay must reflect the six inch depth. II. The temporary splash pad in the fore bay must be extended to the bottom of the slope. 12. The drainage culvert at the northwest corner of the parking area must be relocated or rights from the northerly neighbor obtained to allow the installation and maintenance of the culvert. 13. A cross-section of the forebay and the existing detention pond must be provided on the plans. 14. The grading of the most easterly 125 feet of the driveway must be shown. 15. The 244' contour must be completed at the southeasterly corner of the site. 16. The grading in the rear of the building must be clearly shown. 17. Spot grades at the building corners must be added to the plans. 18. Bollards must be added to protect the proposed hydrant. 19. The 2: I slopes must be surfaced with angular stone or ground cover or matting. 20. Details for the water line, hydrant and duct bank installation must be added to the plans. 21. The pavement repair detail for Sachatello Drive can be deleted. 22. The approach to the drainage and use of detention must be expanded in the narrative. Background information must be added. 23. The 2nd paragraph of the CT Guideline for E&S contours must be clarified. Very truly yours, Th I~ingS, P.E. pritpal TLC:bab
