Jacobson & Associates, Inc. 86 Main Street Chester, Connecticut 06412 RE: GAY HILL ROAD SUBDIVISION, ENGINEERING REVIEW #3, NLJ #0809-0113 MCA# 26-234 Dear Mr. Fenton: In response to your letter dated 12/13/07, please find the following plans and comments: Site Grading and Drainage Plan Sheet 1 C-3.1 Site Grading and Drainage Plan Sheet 2 C-3.2 Site Grading and Drainage Plan Sheet 3 C-3.3 Site Grading – Section B-B C-3.4 Phasing Plan – Construction Sequence C-5.0 Site Plan – Details C-6.1 Revisions and locations for clarification are denoted on the plans as a number 3 in a triangle next to the item or relevant text. The swale has been re-graded to have a depth of the 2 feet. The elevations have been changed for the footing drains to discharge 1 foot below the basement slab, and a “Clean Check” backwater preventer / cleanout has been added at the property line. The 86 Gay Hill Road address has been corrected. As an additional surface water protection for the 86 Gay Hill Road, a flared end intlet and pipe is proposed to intercept any runoff from Lot #1 and Lot #2 and divert the flow to proposed Pond #1. Construction Phasing has been reversed. This allows the principal construction access from Gay Hill Road. A note “CONTRACTOR MUST PERFORM ANY ADDITIONAL WORK AS DIRECTED BY THE TOWN ENGINEER DURING CONSTRUCTION” has been added on sheets C-3.1, C-3.2, C-3.3. A copy of the Permit Authorization from the CT DEP and Stormwater Pollution Plan will be provided to the Town as requested. Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
