Colleen,
If I recall, the expectation is that he’ll plant grass on the slope to stabilize it, not filter fabric &
mulch. He didn’t say anything about grading – so I’m not sure how to respond. If grading means
pulling soil back from the edge & leveling that’s OK, but if grading means pushing soil over the
edge, that’s not what the permit covered. Placing a layer of soil or sod along the top would be
OK.

Subject: 88 Pires Drive
Commissioner Brush:
Mr. Allen of 88 Pires Drive wants to know if he can put down filter fabric on the
embankment to stabilize the area before he puts the mulch down. In addition he
indicated that he would be grading off the top of the slope and placing sod there for
stabilization. If this is acceptable please let me know so I let him know as soon as
possible. Thanks for your assistance in this matter.
