Mr. Thomas:
An initial inquiry letter, sent by certified mail, has been sent out to
the property owner. I plan on making an inspection on Monday. I have
been out of the office or in meetings the past few days and have not
been able to get out to the site. The property owner is given a chance
to respond to the letter. If they do not respond, usually within 10
days, another letter will be sent out. After the second letter, if no
response is heard then a Cease and Desist will be issued. At that time
the item will be put on the agenda and the Commission will hear
testimony regarding the activity. In addition if Staff goes out to the
site and the property owner is home, then the process is sped up a
little. Do you want to be informed if the item is put on the agenda? The
next meeting of the Commission is on the 18th of February.
