Applicant Request: Regulated activities (grading, septic & drainage) associated with
commercial site improvements for gas station/convenience store within an upland review area.

Staff Comments:
The Application is for a Permit for Regulated Activities for grading, septic and drainage
within an URA associated with commercial site improvements for existing gas
station/convenience store.
612 Route 82 (MLB 058-009-00A) is located on .93 acre (40510.8 sqft) in the C-1
commercial zone.
The application, plans and drainage report were referred to the Town Soil Scientist,
Building, and Fire on 12/7/2021.
Uncas Health comments received 12/15/2021.
Soil Scientist comment received 1/3/2022.
Where uses/proposals are determined to meet the criteria of a significant impact as defined in the
Regulations, a public hearing must be scheduled by the IWC. A permit may be issued without a
hearing following the petition period 14 days after receipt of application, subsequently action on
the application needs to be tabled to the January 20, 2022 meeting.
Staff Recommendation: Staff recommends the IWC receive & review Application 221 IWC 17, set a date for a site walk if desired and table the application to the January 20, 2022 meeting.
