HomeMy WebLinkAboutNarrI have lived at the address I am asking permission to move forward at 162 Lake Drive East, Oakdale, CT 06370.
I am seeking approval to put an above ground pool on my land. I have hired Tolis pool installers to whom I have paid $1,000 to begin. A backhoe will be used to level the land for a secure outcome. In addition, they will bring sand as first layer of safety and foam measured as second layer of protection to the liner approximately, 16x32. I have
purchased the pool with all safety measures required. Presently, sitting in my driveway. I want to get approval as I journey through this arduous process. Thus far I have spent $4,500. The current plan and location for my pool is not on wet lands. Tolis pool installers will take no more than a week to accomplish our goals. Wetlands are
not on my property. I have never been made aware of wetlands at the time of purchase 10/23/2009. Mr. Manville, builder and prior owner did not disclose this information. All pertinent information by law, must be disclosed at time of purchase. The realtor, my attorney had not been advised of this, Furthermore another permit was granted for a wrap around deck which is two stories from the ground. Mr. Currie who resides at the beginning
of my street. His wetlands are visible, yet he was granted permission to build an in ground pool inside his home. My granddaughters have begged me to get a pool as we had one for 20 years in my previous home. I finally agreed. They are very happy and look forward to their first swim.
They call and text constantly. They have been through a lot and I agreed because they deserve it having gone through so much for such young children. Every high I have is followed by a low. I am emotionally bankrupt. I know many people put up pools without permits. I chose the honest and safe avenue. I have purchased all
required safety measures to protect me as well as a curious child. The summer has time left for swimming. I ask that all parties please approve my permit as soon as possible. I have done all asked of me. Please, I ask your permission to begin the installation process. I give many thanks to Colleen Bezanson for her unending effort guiding me through these frustrating weeks. I am also requesting a fee waiver understanding $60.00
must be paid to the state of CT. Many thanks for your attention to this matter and look forward to the pool products in my driveway, assembled and ready for us to enjoy my investment. I do know from my attorney that I have recourse to the town and prior owner for withholding full disclosure. My house sits on this land and a pool will be on dry land.
Thank you, Rose Hann
