SITE WORK
Proposed Site Work will allow for restoration and stabilization of areas disturbed
by deposition of soil materials from an 8500 s.f, pond excavation
The existing drainage basin is composed of the following soil types:
Paxton and Montauk fine sandy looms, 3 to 8 percent slopes "PbB - Sloping
well drained soils with moderate available water capacity and rapid -runoff.
Paxton and Montauk very stony fine sandy looms, 8 to 15 percent slopes "PdC"
- Sloping well drained soils with moderate water capacity and medium runoff.
Woodbridge very stony fine sandy loam, 0 to 8 percent slopes "WyB" Nearly
level to gently sloping moderately well drained soil with moderate water capacity
and medium runoff.
HAY BALD INSTALLATION & MAINTENANCE
1.) Each bale shall be securely anchored with at least 2 stakes and gaps
between bales shall be wedged with straw to prevent water from passing
between the bales,
2.) Inspect bales after each storm and repair or replace promptly as needed.
Remove sediment behind the bales when it has reached half the height of the
bale and deposit in an area which is not regulated by the Inland Wetlands
Commission.
3.) Inspections and necessary repairs will be made weekly.
PERMANENT VEGETATIVE COVER
Topsoil will be replaced once the Improvements have been completed and the
berm sideslopes are graded no greater than 3H to 1V. Topsoil will be spread at WATER Flow
a minimum compacted depth. of 4 inches, Once the topsoil has been spread, all DIRECTION
stones two inches or larger in any dimension will be removed as well as debris.
Apply agricultural ground limestone at the rate of two tons per acre or 100 lbs,
per 1000 s,f. Apply 10-10-10 fertilizer or equivalent at a rate of •300 lbs.
