Please advise if this is required by code. Answer: Drawings were sent to the Building Official to show Foyers and Corridors in all units, which have different outlet requirements than living spaces. Foyers under 60 s.f. do not need outlets. Foyers larger than 60 s.f. need 1 outlet every 3 feet of linear wall, excluding openings. Corridors less than 10 feet in length do not need outlets. Corridors greater than 10 feet in length are required to have 1 outlet. The drawings sent to the Building Official included Bldgs A, B, C, D, E, G, H, J and K residential units Buildings L and F were not sent because they do not have residential units. Bldg M was not sent because the requested outlets have already been installed. As a result of the study of foyers & corridors, 1 outlet was found to be needed in the corridor of Unit A-1.
