04/30 EK: Work is slowing down significantly for month of May
due to delay in DEEP approvals. If we don’t hear from DEEP in
May, June could be slow as well.

1.2 CONSTRUCTION PROGRESS:
1.2.1 Status:
05/14 PL: Just Eric & Peter on site now. Doing extra work that we
would normally sub out.
COMPLETE: Level sill poured at east entrance to Bldg B. Gypcrete
in Bldg B Level B & Bldg A Level 2.
UNDERWAY: Repairing window & door coverings that were
damaged due to wind over the weekend.
05/21 PL:
UNDERWAY: Window covering repair continues. Gas lateral from
Pink Row was cut off. Retaining wall btwn B & D underway.
05/28 PL on vacation this week. EM is on site daily.
2.0 CONSTRUCTION TOPICS
2.1 SITE/CIVIL TOPICS:

2.1.1 Site/Civil Submittals & RFI’s:
05/28 GP: No submittals or RFI’s outstanding.
Bldg M basement access:
05/07 FV: Sketches sent out this week for review. Will modify to
include ramp, not stair, on courtyard side. Bulkhead will be
modular block wall. Drain will go to swale.
05/14 FV: Finalizing CSK-16 today. OSHA approves a 12.5% ramp
for maintenance use.
05/21 FV: Sent CSK-16. GP to price. Discussion: Add backflow valve
on drain to daylite. CLOSED.

Ramp in lieu of steps between Bldg G & F:
05/14 FV: CSK-15 sent 5/11. EK: Asphalt or pavers around the
chimney stack? GP: Pavers in narrow alley & asphalt around
chimney is probably cost effective but it is out for pricing – will ask
for least expensive options.
05/21 FV: CSK-15 R2 issued. CLOSED.
2.1.2 Swale & headwall:
05/07 GP: Status of headwall design? FV: It is on the drawings, but
not official until DEEP approves FMC. Will submit these on an CSK
to ease in tracking.
05/14 FV: Will create CSK-17 for Bldg J headwall & swale.
05/21 FV: Sent draft CSK-17. Will finalize after FMC approval.
05/28 FV: On hold until FMC approval.

there are DEEP comments on qualifications of dam removal
contractor but don’t have anything official now.

05/07 EK: Heard from DOH that something will be sent next
Friday – waiting for that to gauge progress.
05/14 EK: Waiting for feedback on FMC submission tomorrow.
05/21 EK: Received preliminary comments - will receive final
comments within a week or so.
05/28 EK: Received email from DOH. Still waiting on letter of
insufficiency from DEEP. Have call w/DOH & CHFA tomorrow to
review & receive more clarity.

approved.

2.5.1 MEP Submittals & RFI’s:
05/28 GP: No submittals or RFIs outstanding.
2.5.2 Relocation of Cooling Tower:
05/21 GP: Need confirmation that pipe sizing from cooling tower
to equipment is not changing. Need CAD file from Arch & Mech so
DEF can work on it.
05/28 GP: Cad file received & pipe size question answered. Pricing
underway. CLOSED HERE, MOVED TO CONSTRUCTION.
2.5.3 Heat Distribution inside Units:
05/21 GP: Sent unit pricing out this morning. Everyone should
review, including me. FB to work on total cost.
05/28 GP/FB reviewed. FB: How many units can be adjusted? SO:
Will provide # of units. EK: Review this w/HET also.

the add’l outlets have not been installed in K.

2.6.4 Postal & Package Delivery:
04/30 PBBA to issue sketch showing revised package room &
adding door to Community Room. PBBA to review for # of boxes
& layout & provide interior elevations.
05/07 SK: Same. Will show annunciator panel in Bldg B lobby in
these dwgs.
05/14 SK: Sent draft sketch of Bldg B lobby. SO to review.
05/21 PBBA to select models for post boxes for Bldgs B & H.
Finalizing details of package delivery access remains outstanding.

2.6.5 Exterior Trim Color:
05/14 SO: Sent gutter colors, which sets eave/rake trim colors.
Dark green for lower bldgs. & light gray (to match granite) for
upper bldgs. Will use this to develop colors for windows, doors,
etc.

2.6.6 Door Schedule/Hardware:
04/30 SK: Will include electronic strikes in hardware submittal.
Doors that are egress only: outside trim includes a key cylinder.
SO: no key cylinder on the egress door from Bldg B subbasement
due to clearance issues. EK: Keep key cylinders on the other egress
doors.
05/07 SK: Review underway, should return today.
05/14 SK: Waiting on EK to confirm access control.
05/21 EK: Will set up call w/Steve from Safer Places & SO. SO: Will
send markups of Security plans to all.
05/28 EK: Had call w/Steve. Could not interpret the hand markup,
asked the Electrician’s sub to update their proposal

Trim on Bldg B Eave:
05/07 GP: Do we replace existing rotten crown mold with flat
stock? SO: Will review on site tomorrow.
05/14 SO: Upper profile can be replaced w/flat stock since the
gutter will cover it, but will need to replicate the lower profile. MC
to save a piece of the existing trim so we can replicate the profile.
05/21 SO: MC will save pieces of both trim profiles. CLOSED.
2.6.7 A/B Connector Dim’s:
05/07 SO: Per phone w/PL, need height of top plate off level 4
floor & horizontal dim to locate ridge of lower roof of AB
connector.
05/14 SK: North side plate should be low enough so the roof of
the A/B connector does not collide w/roof of Bldg A but this is
causing issues w/ window head height on south side. SO: Could
reduce the size of the south window. Will send photos from site
visit to SK.

2.6.8 Add Annunciator Panel in Bldg B entrance:
04/30 PL: Will add annunciator to Bldg B lobby. SK: Will do interior
elevations to ensure that mailboxes & annunciator will fit.
05/07 PC: Will finalize w/ Fire Marshal.
05/14 PC: SK sent sketch – finalizing.
05/21 GP: Arch dwg will suffice. SK: ASK-111 will be sent, showing
interior elev’s of Bldg B Lobby.

05/21 SO: BO requested that we eliminate the dead-end space at
the north end of Bldg B Level 4 corridor by adding that space to

2.8 OWNER TOPICS:
2.8.1 Transformers/Eversource Coordination/Electric Meter location:
05/14 EK: Have to pay one of the fees – the project is considered
to be 2 separate buildings w/Eversource. Easement is with the
surveyor – will follow up w/him. GP: Will ask Gerry to submit a
work order.
05/21 EK: Surveyor package is with the surveyor who will let me
know tomorrow when the survey will go out. Will go to the
Attorney next.
05/28 EK: Followed up w/surveyor yesterday, have not heard
back.

05/07 EK: Gave approval to wire for future additions. GP: We still
need to review access control – fob or key & on which doors.
Look at change estimate & confirm which parts that we are going

received.

4.1 Status:
05/14 EK: Don’t think I have seen an April req. GP: Will track it
down.
05/21 SO: April req shows framing at 99% but Bldg B is not
framed out. FB: 99% is carpentry. Metal framing is with
GWB on the req which is 46%. SO: Ok, then req is fine.
