Recommend that property line be surveyed again using the control CAD file that I sent last week. 03/05 FV: Will finish the work on this after FMC work which is going out today. BSC/FV Medium 2.1.3 Bldg M basement access: 02/20, 02/27, 03/05 On hold until FMC is resolved. 2.1.4 CSK-10: 02/27 FV: Issued CSK-10 today showing new stair at east sides of Bldgs A & B. GP: Will need foundation design for the stairs. 03/05 FV: Same. 2.1.5 CSK-6: 02/27 FV: This was supposed to be roof leaders. Do you need that or can it be handled in the field? GP: We need the sketch. FV: Roof leaders are also shown on the latest version of the grading plan which went with the FMC. Will send to MC. 03/05 FV: Will work on this after FMC. 2.1.6 Telephone connection from street to Bldg D Electric Room: 02/27 GP: The run from Bldg M is too long to feed the entire site, will probably need another connection from the street. Will contact Gerry for more specifics. Gerry: There is no interconnection between buildings which creates the problem. I have contacted Comcast & Frontier – waiting to hear back. Cat 6 is good for about 300 feet. 03/05 GP: Sketch issued. CLOSED. Site wall near J/M Connector: 03/05 FV: Should remain as is since it is in the floodway. If there is more than an 18” drop behind it, it will need a fence. 2.2 DEEP TOPICS: FMC, CONSENT ORDER, WORK AT RIVER (YANTIC RIVER CONSULTANTS – BRANDON HANDFIELD): 2.2.1 FMC Application to DEEP: 03/05 PL: DEEP was on site yesterday - Diane, Alex & Stacey. 2.2.2 Consent Order: 01/23 EK: Received close-out on consent order. 01/30, 02/06, 02/13, 02/20, 02/27, 03/05 Not reviewed. 2.2.3 Helical Pile Installation: 02/20, 02/27, 03/05 Not reviewed. 2.2.4 Grout Bag Submittal: 02/20, 02/27, 03/05 Not reviewed. 2.3 ENVIRONMENTAL REMEDIATION TOPICS (DOWN TO EARTH – TIM CARR): 2.3.1 RAP Application to DEEP: 02/20 TC: Meeting last week w/DEEP went well. Have some followup with them but they have internal discussions to have & get back to us. EK: There is no official approval on the RAP – just #16-063 Oxoboxo Lofts, Uncasville, CT Meeting Minutes #30 03/05/2020 Page 3 of 7 have to respond to DEEP comments. We are in good shape on the RAP application – not holding up construction. 02/27 TC: Same. 03/05 Not reviewed. 2.3.2 Injection System: (related topic below: equipment in Bldg M Basement) 02/20 TC: Still on hold until after closing. Shouldn’t be doing remediation on someone else’s property. EK: Any weather- driven dates? TC: Storing & mixing water-based solutions on the ground would require to hold off until after any threat of hard freeze. EK: May 1 start date? TC: Yes. Assume injection process will take 1 month, then monitor for 4 months. DEEP was helpful in being flexible with subsequent injections. After initial injection, the process runs through within 6 months. 80% chance of initial injection being successful. EK: Give me the exact cost of starting this before closing. 02/27 TC: Working on cost - meeting with vendor next Tuesday. Need Eversource contact to install insulating fleece on the wires because we will be within 10 feet of the wires. PL: Will send Eversource contact. 03/05 Not reviewed. DTE/TC High 2.3.3 SVE Equipment: 02/20 TC: Piping & wells are installed to Bldgs J,H & F. Finishing stub-ups to Bldg F today. Remaining: electrical supply for SVE blower & equipment installation after floor in Bldg F is installed. SK: Vents going through the living spaces of buildings? TC: No because we now have the crawl space to utilize. 02/27 TC: Adding stub-ups tomorrow. 03/05 Not reviewed. DTE/TC High 2.3.4 Remediation in Courtyard: 02/20 TC: Working on disposal of stockpile – we have approval for an alternate disposal location but waiting for final approval. EK: We would prefer to let stockpile remain until we can work in the flood plain again so there is only 1 mobilization. Approval of FMC is the key to this. PL: Parking is getting tight but we can wait for removal of stockpile. 02/27 TC: Same. 03/05 Not reviewed. DTE/TC High 2.3.5 Equipment in M Basement: 02/20 TC: Equipment could be moved & stored while it is shut down during the injection process. It is an old system – should be scrapped. The problem is if we need to use it again, it would need to be reconnected. I will try to find a temporary system that could be used. The only thing of real value is the air compressor – it is new. EK: TC to review equipment & instruct on what is to be saved. 02/27 TC: Same. 03/05 Not reviewed. DTE/TC Medium 2.3.6 Excavating and storing soils during storm drainage installation: 02/27 GP: There is enough ash in the soil that we need to dig test pits – planning to dig them tomorrow. FB: Under a paved surface, you need 2 feet of cover over the ash. Under a landscaped surface, you need 4 feet of cover over the ash. 03/05 Not reviewed. 2.3 STRUCTURAL TOPICS (MORRISSEY ENGINEERS – DAN MORRISSEY): 2.3.1 Structural Submittals & RFI’s: 03/05 DM: No outstanding submittals or RFI’s. 2.3.2 Bldg F Structural Steel: 03/05 DM: Sent a proposed layout for equipment. SK: Will forward to AZT. PBBA/SK High 2.3.3 DEEP Deficiency Report: 02/27 DM: Revised report sent. 03/05 EK: DEEP accepted revised report. CLOSED. 2.3.4 Revised Sketches for Bldg H: 02/27 DM: working on revised sketches. 03/05 DM: Sent. CLOSED. 2.3.5 C/D Wall Repair: 03/05 DM: Working on this. 2.3.6 Cracked Lintels in Bldg B: 03/05 DM: Epoxy info recently received from manufacturer. Will issue answer later this week. 2.3.7 Bldg A 2nd floor rotten headers over windows: 03/05 GP: Have photos – will send to DM. 2.3.8 Columns in Bldg B North Tower: 03/05 SK: Can these columns be removed? DM: Will review on site early next week. 2.3.9 Insulation below Gypcrete: 03/05 GP: We agreed to upgrade to the 40 psi insulation. Cost is $23k. Working with it will create small beads of insulation that will float to the top of the gypcrete. DM: The upgrade was to make us all more comfortable. Don’t think it is critical structurally. PL: Concern is the drywall cart. GP: We have ¼” Masonite floor cover for the cart. DM: ¼” Masonite will prevent the floor from being marred but will not prevent cracking of the gypcrete. Answer: Go with 25 psi insulation & use a layer of plywood under the cart. CLOSED. 2.4 MEP TOPICS (AZTECH ENGINEERS – PAT CALLAHAN): 2.4.1 MEP Submittals & RFI’s: 02/27 PC: Returned several submittals today. GP: Panel boards outstanding. 03/05 GP: Panel board submittal is priority. AZT Highest #1 2.4.2 Generator Submittal: 02/27 PC: Site lighting is a negligible load – should be able to release the generator – just want to confirm w/DA. 03/05 PC: Same. SO: Perimeter fixtures can remain as surface mounted; fixtures in center should be pendants. Will update RCP’s. 02/20, 02/27, 03/05 SO: Same. 2.4.5 MEP in corridors of Bldgs A & B: 02/13 GP: Will be a very tight fit to keep MEP’s in corridors out of the zone of window interference that SHPO requested. EK: Will release MC by Wednesday of next week. PBBA/SK Highest 2.5.10 SHPO/NPS Windows: 03/05 SO: Details sent to Historic Consultants, waiting on feedback. 2.5.11 SHPO/NPS Masonry: 03/05 GP: Mortar samples approved by Architect on Bldgs D, E, H, J, K, L, M. Mason will provide new samples for Bldgs A, B, C, F, G. SO: Will assemble what has been approved & send to Historic Consultants. PBBA/SO High 2.5.12 SHPO/NPS Design Changes: 01/16 Reviewed earlier this week w/2 Historic Consultants. Agreed that Bldg E vestibule & changing windows to doors should be submitted to SHPO/NPS. Girders in Bldg B & change of use of Bldgs F & L do not need to be submitted. 01/23, 01/30 SO: Same. 02/06 SO: Changing windows to doors in Bldgs A & B have been drafted. Will send to Historic Consultants for review. 02/13 SO: Sent Bldgs A & B to JS for review. 02/20 SO: JS approved Bldgs A & B. Need to add additional doors to east end of Bldg A. 02/27 SO: Working on add’l doors on Bldg A – will issue ASAP. 03/05 SO: Same. PBBA/SK High 2.6 OWNER TOPICS: 2.6.1 Transformers/Eversource Coordination/Electric Meter location: 02/20 EK: Will check in with Joe Cassata at Eversource on easement status. 02/27, 03/05 Not reviewed. MC/PL High 3.0 CHANGE ORDERS 3.1 Status: 02/27 SO & SK reviewed 2 CE’s. Questions on Addendum 8 change order for rough framing in Bldgs B ($9.7k) & J/M ($?) & roof penetrations ($26k). GP to follow up. Questions on Bldg B extra framing CE - back-up text needs clarifying. 03/05 GP: Have answers on Bldg B extra framing CE. Change order log reviewed.
