HomeMy WebLinkAboutTown Engineer Comments 6-18-09Town Engineer Comments 6-18-09 Re: Petrowski – 37 Cove Road CAM Review There is no note regarding the well.  There are several other notes that are referenced but not shown on the Plan (i.e.  Note 15 regarding Septic Fill) It is not indicated how the driveway is to be surfaced and it appears that the entire area between the house and garage is of this surface.  The plan is really not clear on this. The driveway extending to the existing house on the other lot is not shown.  I assume #33 has access easement over #37. Existing contours are hard to read, but there are some discrepancies in the grading. It appears proposed contour 18 ties into existing contour 16, 16 to 14 etc. The plan says property line subject to boundary line agreement from point A to B and references Note 10.  Note 10 says a boundary line is suggested.  Is there one or not? Perhaps most significantly, I’m having trouble matching up the two drawings.  The graphic scale on the old drawing says 1”=100’, but the drawing scale says 1”=20’ which seems to make sense.  However I overlaid the two drawings on a light table and even existing dimensions and conditions don’t match up.  For example, if I measure, by scale, from the high water mark to the well on the old drawing it is 90’  If I check the same distance on the new drawing it is 60’.  The 250’ new boundary line scales 280 feet on the new drawing.  And the contours seem to be way off.  >From the high water mark to contour 10 is about 45 feet on the old drawing but over 120 feet on the new drawing by scale.
