1.1 READY—MIXED CONCRETE SHALL BE CLASS 'F' AND CONFORM TO ASTM C94,
SPECIFICATION FOR READY—MIXED CONCRETE. HO ADMIXTURES
SHALL BE USED.
1.2 EQUIPMENT, MATERIALS AND METHODS USED FOR THE PRODUCTION OF
CONCRETE SHALL CONFORM TO APPLICABLE REQUIREMENTS OF ACI 318.
1,3 ALLOWABLE COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH, F'c = 3600 psi @ 28 DAYS.
2. REINFORCING STEEL:
2.1 REINFORCING BARS SHALL CONFORM TO ASTM A615, GRADE 60, SPECIFICATIOI,l
FOR DEFORMED AND PLAIN—STEEL BARS FOR CONCRETE REINFORCEMENT.
2.2 BARS WITH KINKS OR BENDS NOT INDICATED SHALL I',IOT BE USED.
HEATING TO BEND BARS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED.
2.3 ALL REINFORCING STEEL SHALL BE CUT AND FORMED TO THE DIMENSIONAL
TOLERANCES SPECIFIED IN ACI 318 EXCEPT WHERE NOTED III THE
DRAWINGS.
2.4 ALL REINFORCING STEEL SHALL BE CLEAN AND FREE OF LOOSE RUST, SCALE,
OIL AND OTHER MATTER WHICH MAY DESTROY OR REDUCE THE BOND.
2.5 WIRE MESH NO. 66 THROUGH 44 MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR THE SPECIFIED
REINFORCING BARS. WIRE MESH SHALL CONFORM' TO ASTM A185, SPECIFICATION
FOR WELDED PLAIN STEEL WIRE FABRIC FOR CONCRETE REINFORCEMENT, OR
ASTM A497, SPECIFICATION FOR WELDED DEFORMED STEEL WIRE FABRIC
FOR CONCRETE REINFOREMENT.

INSTALLATION OF CAST -IN-PLACE PAD:
3.1 PREPARE THE INSTALLATION SITE. BASE FOR PAD SHALL CONSIST OF MIN. 6" GRAVEL_
FILL, PROPERLY COMPACTED. THE FINISHED FOUNDATION PAD SHALL BE LEVEL
WITHIN 1" AND THE TOP SURFACE SHALL BE 2" ABOVE THE SURROUNDING GRADE.
3,2 CONSTRUCT THE FORMS ENSURING THAT THE TOP OF THE MOUNTING BRACKET
IS SLIGHTLY ABOVE THE TOP OF THE FORM. THE TOP SURFACE OF THE PAD, WITHIf']
THE AREA CREATED BY THE CABINET MOUNTING PLATES AND FOR A DISTANCE OF 1 IIJCH
BEYOND THIS AREA, SHALL BE FLAT WITHIN ±1/8 INCH TOTAL VARIATIOf'1.
3.3 REINFORCEMENT SHALL BE INSTALLED AS SPECIFIED. SECURE REINFORCEMENT TO
PREVENT SHIFTING WHEN THE CONCRETE IS POURED.
3.4 THE TOP SURFACE OF EACH OF THE CABINET METAL MOUNTBNG PLATES
SHALL BE RELATIVE TO EACH OTHER WITHIN ±1/8 INCH.
3.5 CHAMFERED CORNERS SHALL BE FINISHED WITH AN EDGING TOOL.
