AND SEQUENCE OF OPERATIONS
1. THE PROPOSED ACTIVITY CONSISTS OF THE THE CONSTRUCTION OF A CRUSHED STONE
DRIVEWAY ACROSS 408 S.F. OF WETLANDS DISTURBANCE.
2. PRIOR TO ANY DISTURBANCE ON SITE, THE DEVELOPER AND CONTRACTOR WILL
ATTEND A PRE -CONSTRUCTION CONFERENCE WITH TOWN STAFF TO REVIEW PLAN
REQUIREMENTS AND SEQUENCE OF CONSTRUCTION. AT THIS TIME, THE INDIVIDUAL
WHO WILL BE RESPONSIBILE FOR EROSION AND SEDIMENTATION CONTROL PLAN
COMPLIANCE WILL BE DETERMINED.
3. LIMITS OF DISTURBANCE SHALL BE FIELD -DELINEATED AND INSPECTED
BY TOWN STAFF PRIOR TO ANY CLEARING OCCURRING. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL
CONTACT THE WETLANDS OFFICER FOR INSPECTION OF THE SEDIMENT AND EROSION
CONTROL MEASURES, PRIOR TO SITE DISTURBANCE. CONSTRUCTION SHALL NOT
BEGIN UNTIL SUCH TIME AS THE WETLANDS OFFICER HAS REVIEWED AND APPROVED
THE INSTALLATION OF THE SEDIMENTATION AND EROSION CONTROL MEASURES.
4. SITE CLEARING AND GRUBBING CONSISTING OF CLEARING THE GROUND OF TREES,
STUMPS, AND BRUSH SHALL BEGIN FIRST TO ALLOW ACCESS NECESSARY FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION OF EROSION AND SEDIMENTATION CONTROL DEVICES.
ADDITIONAL EROSION & SEDIMENT CONTROL MEASURES SHALL BE INSTALLED IF
DETERMINED TO BE NECESSARY BY THE WETLANDS OFFICER.
5. ORANGE CONSTRUCTION FENCING WILL BE INSTALLED ALONG THE 50' WETLANDS REGULATED
LINE PRIOR TO DISTURBANCE.
6. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL INSPECT BARRIERS AT LEAST WEEKLY, DAILY DURING
PROLONGED RAINFALL AND AFTER EACH STORM. ANY REQUIRED REPAIRS SHALL
BE MADE IMMEDIATELY. SEDIMENT SHALL BE REMOVED WHEN IT HAS REACHED HALF
THE ORIGINAL HEIGHT OF THE BARRIER.
7. EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL DEVICES SHALL BE INSTALLED AND
INSPECTED BY TOWN STAFF PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF ANY SITE GRADING
OR CONSTRUCTION. CONTROL DEVICES SHALL BE SILT FENCES AND/OR HAY
BALES LOCATED AS SHOWN ON THE PLANS TO TRAP SEDIMENT DURING
CONSTRUCTION OPERATIONS AND TO PREVENT ADDITIONAL EROSION DUE TO
CONCENTRATED FLOWS AT THE TOE OF A SLOPE.
8. THE TOPSOIL SHALL BE STRIPPED AND STOCKPILED ON-SITE FOR FUTURE USE.
HAYBALE SILT BARRIERS OR SILT FENCE SHALL BE INSTALLED AROUND TEMPORARY
STOCKPILE AREAS AS SHOWN ON SHEET 1.
9. ALL WORK SHOULD BE CONDUCTED DURING DURING A PERIOD OF LOW
GROUNDWATER TO REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF DE -WATERING REQUIRED.
10. DRAINAGE CULVERT INSTALLATION.
11. WHEN FINISH GRADING IS COMPLETED, TOPSOIL SHALL BE RE—APPLIED TO ALL
REMAINING DISTURBED AREAS TO PROVIDE A MINIMUM DEPTH OF FOUR INCHES.
12. LOAM, SEEDING AND MULCHING OF ALL REMAINING DISTURBED AREAS OUTSIDE OF
RESTORATION AREA. ALL EROSION AND SEDIMENTATION CONTROL MEASURES SHALL
REMAIN IN PLACE UNTIL VEGETATION IS RE-ESTABLISHED.
13. SEEDING SHOULD TAKE PLACE BETWEEN APRIL 1 THROUGH JUNE 1 AND
AUGUST 15 THROUGH OCTOBER 1. — OUTSIDE OF SEEDING WINDOW EXPOSED
SOIL WILL BE MULCHED FOR PROTECTION.
14. THE FOLLOWING SEEDING MIXTURES SHALL BE PROVIDED ON ALL DISTURBED
AREAS:
WETLANDS RESTORATION AREA: NEW ENGLAND WETLAND PLANTS
EROSION CONTROL RESTORATION MIX
UPLAND AREAS: KENTUCKY BLUE GRASS 20 LB's/AC
CREEPING RED FESCUE 20 LBs/AC
PERENNIAL RYEGRASS 5 LB's/AC
15. UNFORESEEN PROBLEMS WHICH ARE CREATED IN THE FIELD SHALL BE SOLVED
ACCORDING TO CONNECTICUT 2002 GUIDELINES FOR SOIL EROSION AND SEDIMENT
CONTROL, AND MAY BE AMENDED AND ADDITIONAL MEASURES REQUIRED AT THE
DIRECTION OF TOWN PLANNING STAFF.
16. JAMES WRAY WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR EROSION & SEDIMENT CONTROL MEASURES
AND ANY EMERGENCIES THAT MAY ARISE ON THE PROPERTY.
DEWATERING PLAN
IF DEWATERING IS NECESSARY DURING CONSTRUCTION A CLEAR WATER DISCHARGE
SHALL BE PROVIDED AS FOLLOWS:
A. THE PUMP INLET WILL BE WRAPPED IN FILTER FABRIC AND PLACED IN CRUSHED
