Additionally, herbicide use is greatly reduced. 4hen seeding, to ensure uniform coverage, half the seed mixture should be sown north to south, and, the other half east to west using T c manual broadcast or gravity drop seeder. If a broadcast or gravity drop seeder is selected, lightly drag the seed into the top 0.25 ' 6 0.33 inches of soil with a hand rake. Newly seeded areas should be mulched to insure adequate moisture for successful turf establ hment and to protect against surface movement of sediment—bound agrochernicals and soil erosion.
