It is my opinion that if the existing, paved accessible space is
re-striped in accordance with the current dimension requirements for
accessible van spaces it will be code compliant.

Good Afternoon Liz-
I met with Tom Cummings and Don Bordeau this morning and we came to an
agreement on addressing the outstanding comments.
Before I finalize the plan revisions, I would like to have your
concurrence that the revisions will be acceptable from a zoning
perspective.
Regarding the location and slope of the handicap space, the parking
layout has been revised to locate the handicap space back in its
existing location, which is on the flattest part of the existing lot,
closest to the entry door. This meets applicable requirements. Mr. Vesey
will need to confirm that this is acceptable. This revised layout
creates 10’x20’ spaces on the northerly side of the lot and 10’x18’
spaces on the southerly side of the lot, both of which comply to
dimensional standards. The aisle is also increased to 26’ wide.
Revisions as requested by Don Bordeau, primarily related to snow
storage are:
* Remove the 2 proposed Red Maple trees from the plan
* Decrease the width of the secondary entrance to 18’
* Increase the center curbed island width by 6’
* Add prominent note to the plan which reads “REMOVAL OF
ACCUMULATED SNOW IN THE SECONDARY SITE ENTRANCE THAT MAY RESULT FROM
MUNICIPAL PLOWING IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PROPERTY OWNER”.
Regarding the boulder row, we have added spot grades to the proposed
parking lot extension to clearly demonstrate that the boulder row is not
a retaining wall.
Regarding the stability of the 5% slopes, the Traffic Bound Gravel
Surface detail has been revised to specify 4” of compacted 1-1/4”
processed traprock mix over the 8” of rolled bank run gravel, which will
apply to all proposed gravel drives/lots. Callouts have been revised to
reference the Traffic Bound Gravel Surface Detail.
Please advise at your earliest convenience, I am eager to get this
resolved.
