Subject: Zoning Complaint RE: Golden Palace
Attachments: 6-28-17 Complaint.pdf
Dear Liz,
Over the course of the last several months my husband, mother and I have submitted complaints about the use
and abuse of the lot that the Golden Palace continues to use as an overflow parking lot. Two weeks ago, a
drunk driver hit a wall which separates Leo road, Golden Palace and my mothers property. This incident really
shook her up as the wall has been demolished, and this area of her yard remains vulnerable to the traffic the
restaurant produces.
Since Monday, this bus has been parked in the property, (see attached photo). We would like to file the attached
complaint about this. Additionally, we called you however you were away on vacation so in turn we contacted
the Montville police, but they were unable to help as they stated it was private property.
I apologize for the frequency of complaints, but it really has been a challenging situation as the restaurant
overflow's and uses this area almost every weekend for parking. We have invested much time and effort in
clearing out the property to discourage people from straying into her yard. The patrons who park in the lot
exercise no understanding of the boundaries. We have found them sitting at her picnic table, "hiding" in her
shed and siting on the large bolder's which is an attempt to separate the two property lines. However, we
continue to find small containers of alcohol, condoms and other paraphernalia that has forever change her
feeling of security in her home. Her house is listed for sale, and we are hopeful that it will sell and we will know
longer pester you with these complaints.
I appreciate your understanding of our complaints and hope you know we have tried to limit the amount we
send you, and have tried to limit our complaints to the big buses and not one or two cars parked on the land. If
there is any further action or infoiniation you would need please let me know.
Thank you for taking care of this matter.
Best,
Jeanette Brooks do Mary Brycki
