PERMIT TO DISCHARGE TO A SUBSURFACE SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM
Permission is hereby granted to to discharge sewage to the subsurface sewage disposal system
located at 100 Pruett Place in the Town of Montville.

Provisions:
1) Discharge volume is not to exceed 125 gallons per day per bedroom from a
4-bedroom house.
2) The septic tank and outlet filter shall be inspected regularly and cleaned at least
every two to five years.
Special requirements or restrictions: The iron level of 3.7 rng/L is above the recommended level
of 0.3 mg/L, and the manganese level of 0A4 mg/L is above the recommended level of 0.05
mg/L. These are not health hazards,but may cause staining of plumbing fixtures and laundry.
If desired, treatment to remove iron and manganese is available.
Code exceptions: None
This permit shall not be construed as permission to create or maintain any sewage nuisance. If
such a condition is found to exist, this permit may be revoked, suspended or modified.. The
permit holder shall be required to make whatever repairs, alterations, extensions or changes in
use as are deemed necessary by the Uncas Health District to abate the condition.
