PROJECT: Installation of a Shed by Sheds USA
At Uncasville, CT
The anchoring system for the sheds is to be 3" steel earth anchors by American Earth Anchors
or approved equal. See attached information on the anchors. The assumed soil type is class 2
— medium sandy gravel, which has an anchor pullout of 1700 lbs. The uplift load on the shed
has been calculated to determine how many anchors are required. Attached are dimensions of
the shed.

• International Building Code/2003
• ASCE 7-05, Minimum Design Loads for Buildings and Other Structures

NOTES
1)Unbalanced roof live loads have been considered for this design.
2)Wind:ASCE 7-02;100mph;h=25ft;TCDL=3.Opsf;BCDL=3.0psf;Category I;Exp C;enclosed;C-C Interior(1);Lumber DOL=1.66 plate grip
DOL=1.66.
3)This truss requires plate inspection per the Tooth Count Method when this truss is chosen for quality assurance inspection.
4)Bearing at joint(s)A,G considers parallel to grain value using ANSI/TPI 1 angle to grain formula. Building designer should verify capacity of s
bearing surface.
5)Provide mechanical connection(by others)of truss to bearing plate capable of withstanding 183 lb uplift at joint A and 183 lb uplift at joint G.
6)Non Standard bearing condition. Review required.
7)This truss is designed in accordance with the 2003 International Residential Code sections R502.11.1 and R802.10.2 and referenced
standard ANSI/TPI 1.
